When looking through a Word document, a specific word or phrase is typically all you need. But occasionally, you might choose to look for something else. The find-and-replace feature in Word, which swiftly locates words or phrases and substitutes them with something else, is probably already familiar to you. Word can, however, locate pictures, punctuation, formatting, and even certain font types like italics.
Step 1
Find the italicized words in the Word document by opening it.
Step 2
If the Home tab is not already selected in the ribbon, select it.
Step 3
Select Editing, then Advanced Find by using the arrow next to Find. It will launch the Find and Replace window.
Step 4
To see other options, click the “More” button.
Step 5
Select Font by clicking the “Format” button at the window’s very bottom. The font window will change.
Step 6
In the “Font style” window, choose Italic. Press “OK.” The previous Find and Replace window will open once more.
Step 7
To start discovering all italicized terms, click “Find Next.”
