Microsoft Word is a word processing program used to create documents for both personal and business purposes. The header is the first block in a Word document. Important details about the document, such as the title, author, business name, logo, or image, are frequently included in the header. The header is immediately followed by the document text. By modifying the document’s properties, it is possible to reduce or eliminate the space between the header and the main text.

Set the document’s cursor to the last part of the header.
Select “Page Setup” from the top menu’s “File” drop-down list.
Within the Page Setup properties window, choose the “Margins” tab.
In the Margins properties, lower the “Top Margin” value. The content will be shifted up the page and the space between the document text and header will be eliminated if the top margin value is decreased.
To set the margins, click “OK.”
