Logitech is a company that makes hardware. It makes different controller interfaces for Windows computers. They make everything from keyboards and mice to video game controllers and joysticks. If you have a Logitech gamepad and want to use it with a PC game, all you have to do is set it up in the game. Usually, you don’t need actual drivers to connect a Logitech controller to your computer (some Logitech controllers produced in the past may require a driver).
Hook up the Logitech controller to the computer. Insert the USB cable that comes out of the back of the controller into a USB port on the computer.
Start up the PC game you want to play with the controller. Choose “Options” after the game has loaded.
When you click “Controllers,” a list of options for controllers will show up on the screen. Choose the correct controller. This loads a new set of options for the controller.
You can look through the list of controller options until you find one that works for you. Each configuration changes what each button on the controller does.
Accept the changes to the controller, then go back to the game’s main menu and start your new game or the one you just saved.
Installing Driver (for older Logitech devices)
- Step 1: After connecting the Logitech controller to a USB port, put the driver installation CD into the computer’s disc drive. The driver installation wizard will appear on the screen in a moment.
- Step 2: Click “Next” on the welcome page, and then accept the end-user license agreement.
- Step 3: Click “Next” twice more, then click “Install,” and the Logitech controller drivers will be put on the computer. Now start the video game and continue with the “Options” menu as you did in step 2 of the previous section.
